Investigating the issues surrounding commercial livestock transportation appeared to be a natural next step. Tim assisted the Alberta Farm Animal Care Association, the Canadian Cattlemen's Association and Alberta Pork to design Canada's first deliverable training courses for livestock truckers. Cattle and Hog Transport Courses have been endorsed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Cargill Foods.

O’Byrne has written three books on the working ranch cowboy and has over 80 published articles dealing with current livestock issues. He currently serves as Publisher and Editor of Working Ranch Magazine, an industry publication with a circulation of 55,000 ranchers across America.

Clients include the American Meat Institute, the Canadian Cattlemen's Association, Alberta Cattle Commission, Alberta Cattle Feeders, Alberta Pork, Alberta Agriculture and several western Canadian agriculture colleges. In addition, Tim has previous experience in legal consultation related to U.S. and Canadian cases involving livestock.
